Congratulations to the 5th grade Book Battle Teams on an EPIC Book Battle in the Library this week! Both teams were phenomenal. Students have been preparing over the last 3 months for this battle, each team read a total of 5 books (that's 1,151 pages!!), and worked collaboratively to prepare for a wiz quiz style battle identifying the title and author of each book to answer 40 total questions. The battle was tied up to the final round with "The Book Jugglers" inching ahead by just one point over "The Flying Chickadees". In all my years as our school librarian having book battle teams, these 2 teams were my highest scoring match! Congrats to both teams for the hard work and commitment needed to compete at this level! They earned a well deserved pizza party and It has been my pleasure and joy to work with them every other day for the last few months! Great job 5th grade battle teams!
