Copenhagen Central School District extends a heartfelt thanks to the Northern New York Community Foundation for their generous grant funding through Safe Schools Endeavor to implement additional safety measures to protect students, staff, and visitors.
With the award, the District was able to purchase Stop the Bleed Kits and door stops to enhance our safety procedures. The strategic placement of Stop the Bleed Kits and door stops throughout our building is critical for the well-being of those present in our building each day. Stop the Bleed Kits contain an assortment of medical supplies needed for survival, ultimately aimed to control severe bleeding during a catastrophic event. Additionally, door stops installed in every room will enable quick and efficient lockdown procedures, enhancing our ability to secure the building and protect occupants in the event of a threat.
The Northern New York Community Foundation's support allows us to proactively address potential safety concerns and reinforces our commitment to providing a secure learning environment. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and dedication to our community's safety.
"The Northern New York Community Foundation expresses gratitude, stating, 'This grant is made possible because of the generosity of donors devoted to helping enhance the quality of life in our region through the Foundation.'"
